AMALFI COAST IN A DAY ITINERARY OVERVIEW
POSITANO - If this is your first time on the Amalfi coast, get ready, because Positano is probably the most picturesque town of the globe. John Steinbeck was right, “Positano bites deep.” The adorable town is carved into the Cliffside, with winding cobblestone that will take you on the beautiful beach covered with bright orange and blue sun umbrellas, this is the real Mediterranean paradise. Located in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, Positano, is an Italian town of 3836 inhabitants, and is a place where you can wander romantic alleyways, gaze out beyond the mesmerizing coast, with pebble beaches and narrow, steep streets full of shops. The center of this town is at the very bottom of a very steep mountainside and the line of restaurants along the oceans edge make for a beautiful setting.
AMALFI - The town of Amalfi is located at the foot of Monte Cerreto, surrounded by steep cliffs and spectacular coastline. It’s designated as one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Main sites include the Cathedral of Sant’Andrea, the Campanile (the bell tower), the Piazza Duomo, Cloister of Paradise (an open-air museum featuring Roman and medieval pillars).
